What is it?
The Roadmap is a comprehensive approach for newly abstinent clients to build a new sober
life of lasting, satisfying recovery…based on discovering and nurturing one’s true identity
(True You). When led by a professional facilitator, the Roadmap helps guide participants
past their defensiveness and misconceptions of addiction to a practical understanding of
each person’s purpose and meaning in life –– “high on life” becomes their new reality, not
high on substance use.
“Great information especially for where I am in my recovery. Very
motivational, positive and affirming.”“I learned what I need to give and contribute –– my something special.”
How does it work?
The Roadmap provides a structured process of eight group sessions (with accompanying
diagrams, exercises and similar insight tools) that helps participants discover their longburied
self and how the rewards of recovery can –– and will –– work for them. Incorporating
the tenets of the 12-Steps, CBT, Stage II recovery, and spirituality, participants learn how to
apply each lesson to the daily realities they are facing and to take full responsibility for their
recovery attitudes and behavior.
“I really liked the techniques to help me change my self-talk and
self perception, which have been totally negative.”“Kept me thinking about how I can constantly improve my recovery.
Very interesting and inspiring exercises.”
Why does it work?
As an emerging therapy, the Roadmap safely penetrates deep into one’s spiritual marrow.
Result? The individual confidently believes from the inside-out that living relapse-free on a
sustained basis is possible…and desirable. People trapped in addiction act falsely to
themselves and others, however those who act from their True You increase the likelihood of
successful recovery. They discover the valuable benefits to themselves and everybody they
know –– the dreams and rewards they have yearned for now shape their daily experience.
“This course helped change my life and my perspective on how
I see things.”“Some of the best recovery skills information I’ve ever received.
User friendly and easy to understand. Thank you.”
